You've Been Flipped!

As I have mentioned, we will begin "flipping" our classroom. Essentially, this means that you will take notes at home & we will complete various assignments & assessments in class together. So, here's your first set of notes - good luck! I know this seems "easy", but please remember that you are responsible for this information and should be prepared to discuss these notes in class. Use the timeline I gave you to help take more efficient & concise notes.

Spanish II - Sub. Plans 10/23
A Day Ladies -
You've probably noticed by now that I'm absent ;-) You should have picked up AT LEAST one iPad per group - it's okay if you needed more. Please use this class period to your advantage! You should use this time to work on GoogleDocs to complete your script OR on PuppetPals to record your finished performance assessment. Remember - I expect these to be no shorter than 1.5 minutes & they should be very well done! If you have questions, please feel free to e-mail me! I'll be able to check my e-mail very frequently, so look for a response before the end of class! If you need a quiet place to record, you may go to the language lab, but please ASK the substitute before you go! I expect that you will all be on your best behavior! This assignment can either be e-mailed to me or uploaded via YouTube. If you have any problems uploading or e-mailing these videos, just SAVE them to the iPad and remember which iPad you used for the project. I will help you upload them when I get back.
You will also have a quiz over reflexive verbs on THURSDAY. This quiz is very similar to the the practice that you did on my blog (9.27). I have sent a copy of the correct answers AND your answers to your e-mail. Check your response, redo the practice and watch the video notes for help! If you have questions, e-mail me! Spanish II - Performance Assessment
Adventures in
Babysitting
You & your friend have
promised your next-door neighbor that you will take care of her children this
afternoon from the time they get off the school bus until she gets home after a
dinner meeting. [Your neighbor, who
speaks virtually no English, knows that you are good Spanish students and
prefers that you communicate with her family only in Spanish.] She informs you
that in their kindergarten & first grade classes her children have been
learning about daily routines & hygiene. She then suggests that you think
of an activity that is fun but incorporates these two ideas. Fortunately, in
your Spanish II class, you have recently become experts in using reflexive
verbs and are very confident in your abilities. You both decide that a puppet
show would be a fun & educational way to entertain the children. When you
finish your puppet show creation, you should e-mail the finished video to Ms.
Ledford at sledford@mercyjaguars.com because it is simply amazing!
