Ladies, I've created a Prezi that may serve as a study aid for your vocabulary quiz later this week. If you're a visual learner, this may be the study guide for you! I've tried to organize the animals into specific categories, so you'll notice they're not all in alphabetical order. Let me know if you have questions as you prepare for this quiz! Please remember that this is a very significant grade & you should be well-prepared prior to quiz day!

Ladies, you will find your Animal Quiz Practice here! You will find an answer sheet at the bottom of the page. Please complete & bring this with you to class on Wednesday. This is a homework grade and an invaluable study guide for your quiz!

Be the Difference!

At our opening prayer service, SLT members announced our theme for the year: Be the Difference! We also heard the song "We are the World" that served as a reminder of this theme. Since Spanish is our target language, I thought I'd share the Spanish version of the song below. Enjoy & sea la diferencia!

Parents, did you know...?

I.  All Spanish II & AP Spanish students have recently completed introduction presentations in their classes. You can see their grades online OR you can check out the graded rubric & presentation comments that I sent them via email.

II. Your student will have multiple opportunities each week  to  earn participation points in class. Ask them how they're doing!

III. Spanish II students will take a vocabulary quiz on Thursday/Friday of this week. You can help them study by using flashcards located on this page.

IV. Any presentation material(s) used in class will be posted on this page. If your student is struggling with a particular concept, ask her if she's reviewed the material on the blog.

V. This week I will be posting a calendar in my classroom for students who need additional help before or after school. Please encourage  your daughter to use this resource!

AP Spanish - Diarios

Your first journal entry is due (in your diarios) on 28.08.12. If you are having trouble choosing a topic, check out this list of themes that I've put together for you. Don't forget that I am your audience, so the register of your paper should be appropriate (think tú vs. Ud.). Please remember that diarios should be...

1. ...handwritten in black ink.

2. ...double-spaced.

3. ...turned in on time!

4. ...well-organized and thoughtful! (Make your English teachers proud & use the 3.5 essay style!)
5. ...4-5 pages. (Remember, it's double-spaced, so it's not as long as you think!)

AP Spanish - Horario for 24.8.12

Ladies, you do not have any "blog" homework this evening, but should be preparing for your 1st vocabulary quiz (see flashcards below for a review) & completing a review of the present tense. Also, please remember that you should be working on your first diario due 28.08.12. In preparation for our class on Friday, please look at your horario before our next class meeting!
